nwoods  > Jeep Adventures > Trail Runs > Gold Mtn & John Bull Trail
I was joined by SCLR buddies Matt Norton (Disco II) and Steve Perry (D90) for a nice run up to Big Bear. We ran Gold Mountain and then John Bull. These trails were quite a bit more worn than last year, but lots fun. We cruised through without any difficulties, but the trail demands careful wheel placement and your full attention or it could get real expensive real fast. Our little group made it through unscathed and ready for more!

nwoods > Challenging dropoff rock formation between two trees. The layout leans your truck very close to the tree as you drive down the rock shelf.
nwoods > In an effort not to tag the tree, Matt got a little too high on the opposite side. Here, his left rear wheel is just barely on a rock. If he slid off, he would have rolled for sure. We stopped him, strapped him, and stacked a few rocks for safety, and he drove through without any drama. Thankfully.

nwoods > The backside of the trail. If running reverse, this would be the trail head. These rocks are sized and positioned carefully to filter out those that do not belong.
nwoods > Matt's DII tiptoes through the rocks. Steve Perry spotting him.
